The number two school in our countdown is featured so highly because of what it meant for the kids, rather than how difficult or impressive the actual installation was (though we’re going to be a little cocky and let you know that it was faultless too!). Situated in a community school in the often concrete jungle that is our nation’s capital London, our number two job of 2012 was a simple installation of our Multi 14 product across an outdoor play area covering a 440 square metre total area.
You can see from the image gallery on this post that in the midst of all the surrounding buildings, artificial grass is a breath of colour that beats the adjacent concrete playground hands down! We all know how much a premium space is in London, and green
space for sports is even more so. Of course the big benefit of artificial grass is its ability to be used in a wide range of weather conditions, without fear of mud spreading through the school or deterioration of the pitch itself. From such a simple install we are very proud to have given these school children an excellent play space that will keep them active for years to come. The perks of this job really are brilliant!
One more thing I’ll add just to give another reason why we’re so proud of this job was its execution time. Having a nice, soft, green play area is one thing, but having no area during a week’s worth of installation time isn’t exactly satisfactory. For this reason, we worked alongside the school on their terms, completing the installation not when they were busy using their play space, but on a weekend when there wasn’t a student to be seen or disrupted. Thanks to the skills of our lads installing the artificial grass, it was completed without hiccups and was a wonderful surprise for the returning students and staff the following Monday morning!
