Bright Kids Nursery transforms outside area with playground installation

Bright Kids is a series of 8 quality nursery establishments across the West Midlands. Since 1999 they have provided quality childcare and education for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years, using a bright and happy atmosphere to promote learning through stimulating, creative play activities. The newest member of the Bright Kids family is The Barley Lea nursery, Coventry, which opened in September 2021.
Recently Abacus Playgrounds was contracted by Bright Kids to transform an outdoor area to provide a space for children to mix, learn, and play. Abacus Playgrounds are the UK’s largest installer of safety surfacing, working with many local authorities, play equipment manufacturers, schools, nurseries and building contractors throughout the country.

For the Bright Kids project, Abacus created a lovely communal kids area with play equipment and 36mm Lincoln artificial grass supplied by Perfectly Green. Artificial grass is an excellent surface for schools and playgrounds, among many other project types, as it is low maintenance, easy to install, and can be used throughout the whole year. In particular, Lincoln is ideal for school and nursery projects as it is a very dense and soft grass, helping to look after children who might take a fall! Where climbing play equipment is installed shock pads can be fitted below the grass to provide Critical Fall Height protection.
